about me

hello!
I’m Garry Haywood, welcome to my website… you’ll find here information about me and the professional services I offer, my thoughts on various issues .
I’m a social innovator who uses technology to deliver social and civic solutions with track record over twenty five years. My pioneering work has facilitated purposeful ICT take-up in third sector organisations across the UK and internationally. My work has included community health, intermediate labour markets, community organising, funding and enterprise development in deprived areas.
I’m a freelance researcher, trainer, coach and a director of a start-up firm, So-Mo LLP, that facilitates co-production using social networks. I’m also the current joint-holder of the Sam Aaronovitch Memorial Prize for my work on local economies.
I’ve been a community activist in Nottingham and Liverpool since the early 80s involved in play, youth employment, community health, arts, democratic participation and financial exclusion.
I also use this site to host my blog which is focused on social media, economic development and social justice.
If you’d like to talk to me about collaborating with you please do not hesitate to contact me, my contact form is here
